Dawn Hilt
Drug and Alcohol Program Coordinator, Trauma and Mental Health Counselor
Dawn Hilt is a licensed Bachelor of Social Work (LBSW) and Certificated Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). In the state of New York, she started out wanting to work in Travel and Tourism but was drawn to helping people. She has worked the past 33 years in both mental health and additions.
Dawn has worked with children, adolescents and adults in group homes, in patient psychiatric units in hospitals, and in outpatient drug and alcohol programs. She is committed to teaching others and supporting them in their journeys of recovery. She successfully created and supervised a Women’s Trauma Program where she offered individual and group therapy. She also specialized in grief and loss. Dawn moved to Delaware in 2018 and has worked at a methadone clinic with dually diagnosed clients until she started here.
When she is not working, Dawn loves to play with her dog, travel, and enjoys going to local establishments for dinner and live music.
Dawn attended Empire State College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Community and Human Services, with a concentration in counseling. She is a certified Trauma Counselor and earned a certification in Grief and Loss.
